StayWise brings together the collective educational resources of the emergency services and key safety focused organisations. We have done this to support teachers and community safety practitioners in delivering essential safety messages.
It facilitates a more effective, consistent and curriculum linked way of imparting vital life skills to todays' young people and preparing a safety conscious environment for the generations of tomorrow. By using the tools on the site, we can strengthen relationships between communities and emergency services, enhancing the health and safety of everyone within our communities.
StayWise is the output of what can be achieved by combining the shared ambition and determination of the emergency services and safety focussed organisations in the pursuit of reducing avoidable injuries and deaths within our communities.
I am a teacher, youth worker or volunteer who delivers education to children and young people.
Blue light & safety focused organisations
I work for the emergency services or I am a safety professional looking for resources to support community engagement.
We think StayWise is great, but don't just take our word for it. See what some of our users are saying about the site...
With the help of StayWise, I have been able to teach valuable safety lesson to my class in a really engaging way. There are such a wide range of resources available, I can always find something to help me with my planning.
As a teacher of children with Special Education Needs, the introduction of Makaton and Widget stories have saved me hours in creating my own accessible resources. The Children love using them and it gives them an opportunity to work independently and also for all children being able to use and recognise the signs and symbols.
Knowing that the resources have been developed by the emergency services gives me confidence that, by using them, I am covering all the safety knowledge that my year 5 class need to know as they grow older and become more independent.
