Description
A practical experiment designed to measure the body's responses to cold water immersion. Children will learn about automatic responses and will teach them what to do if they find themselves unexpectedly in cold water.
How To Use
Recommendation for the teacher to consult the RNLI Risk Assessment guidance prior to undertaking the activity. Through teacher pupil discussion establish pupil knowledge of the impact of cold water on their body. Nominated pupils to undertake cold water experiment activity, and discuss their findings.
