Description
Halloween and Bonfire night is traditionally a busy time for the emergency services. This Halloween Safety lesson provides learners with advice on keeping safe during Halloween, encourages them to consider the impact of their actions on others in their local community and develop further skills in language, literacy and communication, expressive arts and digital competency.
How To Use
Learners will discuss on how communities might celebrate Halloween and potential hazards which may occur. They will consider how trick or treating can make members of the community feel anxious and scared, be safe around flammable materials and know what to do if their clothes catch on fire. They will choose a presentation method such as a poster / presentation / short movie or video clip to advise friends and family members on how to keep safe over the Halloween period.
